About me.

Tala is a mechanical engineering graduate from McGill University with a strong passion for both aerospace and content creation. She has worked at leading engineering organizations such as the Canadian Space Agency and Airbus, where she contributed to projects in space systems and aviation.

Beyond engineering, Tala is deeply passionate about storytelling, post-processing and media production. She completed a filmmaking workshop at the New York Film Academy and has taken on roles as a videographer, photographer, and editor at numerous events. She also runs a YouTube channel where she documents everything from engineering adventures to life style vlogs. Driven by curiosity, passion, and a love for building, whether it’s rockets or stories, Tala brings a blend of technical expertise and artistic vision to what she does.

My Youtube Journey.

It all began with a passion for storytelling and a simple idea: to share my journey through a camera lens. A year and a half ago, I launched my YouTube channel, and I haven’t looked back since.

What started as weekly vlogs quickly evolved into a creative outlet where I could document my travels, engineering projects, filmmaking experiences, and personal growth. From planning and shooting to post-processing and publishing, I’ve taken on every part of the production process.

Through this journey, I discovered a deep love for editing. Turning raw footage into a cohesive, meaningful story became more than just a skill, it became my favorite part of the creative process. YouTube taught me consistency, creative problem-solving, audience engagement, and how to grow a brand from scratch. Today, my channel has reached over 1,500 subscribers and more than 120,000 views, and continues to be a space where I merge creativity with authenticity.

Work Experience

Photographer, Videographer, and Editor
SEDS Canada
2022 - 2025

For three years, I led photography, videography, and editing for the annual Canadian Space Conference organized by SEDS Canada. I captured key moments and produced promotional content to showcase the event, attract sponsors, and support future outreach. This experience strengthened my visual storytelling, content strategy, and event marketing skills.

Engineering Intern
Canadian Space Agency
2023 - 2024

At the Canadian Space Agency, I worked with the Stratospheric Balloon Program (STRATOS), supporting launch campaigns in collaboration with the French Space Agency (CNES). I assisted in system integration and pre-flight testing, including drop tests and avionics verification. This experience strengthened my skills in systems engineering, mission operations, and working under high-stakes conditions.

Engineering Intern
Airbus Canada
2022

At Airbus Canada, I worked on the A220 program, improving communication workflows between internal and customer engineering teams to accelerate design processes. I also helped create monument catalogs using InDesign and contributed to sustainability initiatives by developing end-of-life recycling strategies for the aircraft. This role developed both my technical communication and design-for-sustainability skills.
